Cambodian Governor Visits Wounded Soldiers, Emphasizing Government's Respect for Sacrifice

His Excellency Ouk Ratry, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, accompanied by provincial, Thma Koul district, and Krumor commune working groups, visited and provided essential supplies, food, and financial assistance to three Cambodian soldiers injured during their national service on July 22, 2026. The visit took place at the soldiers' homes in Prey Veng village and Ta Yeung village, Krumor commune, Thma Koul district. It is noted that the three soldiers sustained injuries from a bomb explosion on July 5, 2026, while on a security patrol mission in the Chok Kruos area of Banteay Ampil district, Oddar Meanchey Province. During the meaningful occasion, His Excellency Ouk Ratry conveyed the profound concern and care from the top leaders of the Senate, National Assembly, and the Royal Government of Cambodia to the soldiers and their families. His Excellency the Provincial Governor expressed deep emotion and admiration, stating, "The brave spirit, the sacrifice of flesh and blood, and the dedication of our heroic soldiers in defending the territorial integrity and ensuring the safety of the people are honorable actions and invaluable heroic examples." Concurrently, he earnestly prayed and wished for the swift recovery of the three soldiers, so they may regain full health and continue to live happily with their families. To alleviate their living burdens and offer encouragement, His Excellency and his working team personally presented donations, including rice, essential food items, and a sum of money to the three soldiers in an atmosphere of close solidarity, deep emotion, and warmth. This attention from the leadership clearly reflects that "the Royal Government and authorities at all levels never abandon or forget the sacrifices made by Cambodian heroes."
