Thailand to Expand EV Motorcycle Fast Charging Network 'NEXA EV Station Hub'

DECO has joined forces with EV technology partners to drive the development of a fast-charging system for electric motorcycles, branded as 'NEXA EV Station Hub.' This initiative is backed by two major state-owned enterprises, NT and MEAei, which will provide crucial support in terms of space, digital networks, and smart energy infrastructure. The ambitious goal is to deploy 156 NEXA EV Station Hubs across the country, accommodating over 48,000 charging points. Mr. Kritamet Tangpichaiwat, Chief Executive Officer of DECO Green Energy Company Limited, speaking as a representative of the technology alliance, stated, "DECO has received strong backing, enabling us to fully leverage our technological capabilities to enhance the ecosystem. Notably, the fast-charge system, a high-efficiency rapid charging innovation for electric motorcycles, has been successfully co-developed by our company and is ready for deployment. It can fully charge a battery in as little as approximately 5 minutes, and around 10 minutes for the highest capacity batteries. This advanced technology is currently unmatched by any other service provider in the market. This collaboration will unlock limitations in charging times, making EV usage more convenient and faster for both daily life and commercial purposes, and will be widely implemented nationwide on the NEXA EV Station Hub ecosystem." The NEXA EV Station Hub project targets the establishment of 156 charging stations nationwide, supporting over 48,000 charging points. These locations will be elevated into comprehensive smart service centers, encompassing electric motorcycle production and assembly, smart battery innovations (BMS), smart charging cabinets, cloud-based management applications, solar roofs, and after-sales services and technical support in Thailand, ensuring uniform standards across the country and catering to the sustainable lifestyle preferences of the new generation. The collaboration to develop the charging system and produce electric motorcycles, integrating upstream to downstream technology into the 'NEXA EV Station Hub' ecosystem, is a crucial step in laying the foundation for digital and clean energy infrastructure to support the sustainable and comprehensive growth of electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand. The core of this partnership lies in the true integration of technology and services, covering: * Electric Motorcycle Production and Assembly: Supporting daily use, package delivery, food delivery, and commercial fleets. * Smart Battery Innovation: Utilizing advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) and high-performance lithium battery modules for maximum safety. * Smart Charging and Cabinet Systems: Developing charging stations for electric cars and motorcycles with real-time status control and monitoring. * Digital System and Application Integration: Management via Cloud systems, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Solar Roofs, and platforms that allow users to conveniently find stations, make payments, and check statuses. * After-Sales Service and Domestic Support: Technician training, spare parts procurement, and domestic warranty centers. All technologies and services from the partners will be connected to the NEXA Platform, a central platform that integrates NT's communication network and strategic locations with MEAei's energy systems. This transforms NEXA EV Station Hubs from mere charging points into community hubs for digital services, retail, rest areas, and smart travel connections. Furthermore, the ecosystem introduces 'ELi' (Energy Link Innovator), a brand ambassador designed to communicate electric motorcycle charging services, charging cabinets, and energy innovations in an easily understandable and accessible manner for users. This alliance is formed through the cooperation of National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) and MEA Smart Energy Solutions Company Limited (MEAei) as the main supporters of digital networks and energy systems, alongside leading EV technology partners including DECO Green Energy Company Limited, Red Tech Corporation Company Limited, Mactowin Holding Public Company Limited, Zhengzhou Zhengfang Technology Co., Ltd., and Future New Energy Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed by the executives from all partner organizations to integrate the technology chain from upstream to downstream, aiming to transition Thailand into the clean energy era and elevate NEXA EV Station Hub as a future digital lifestyle center.
