26 Thai Senators Indicted for Election Rigging, Continue to Attend Senate Meetings

Twenty-six Thai senators, who have been indicted by the Election Commission (EC) for alleged election rigging (hao), are reportedly continuing to attend Senate meetings as usual. This was revealed during the Senate session on September 15, 2026, chaired by Senate President Mongkol Surassajja. Prior to the session, Ms. Atcharaphan Homrot, a senator from Surat Thani and one of the 26 indicted individuals, raised a discussion regarding the care of drug addicts and patients with mental health issues stemming from drug use. Other senators on the list of 26, including Mr. Nipon Ekwanich, Mr. Suthep Sankwiseset, Pol. Lt. Col.
