On July 28, 2026, the Cambodian Army held a ceremony for promotions and functional reassignments for officers and non-commissioned officers of the 3rd Intervention Division and its three subordinate intervention battalions. The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Srei Deuk, Deputy Commander of the Army. Lieutenant General Srei Deuk extended congratulations to the officers and non-commissioned officers who have gained the trust of the leadership and been assigned new duties. He commended their efforts, capabilities, qualifications, merits, and high sense of responsibility in serving the nation. Furthermore, Lieutenant General Srei Deuk urged all military personnel to continue to diligently perform their duties in their respective fields, maintain unity, and strictly adhere to the discipline, order, and general regulations of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. This personnel change is understood to be aimed at strengthening the organizational capabilities of the Cambodian Army and improving operational efficiency in national defense. In the context of evolving external security environments and maintaining domestic stability, reforming the military command structure and ensuring appropriate placement of commanders can also contribute to the stability of the administration.
