Typhoon No. 1 Weakens to Tropical Depression, No Direct Impact on Vietnam

Typhoon No. 1, which was expected to hit northern Vietnam, weakened to a tropical depression after making landfall in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. While direct impact on Vietnam has ceased, caution is advised for strong winds and high waves in the northern Gulf of Tonkin.
