Vietnam's Communist Party Holds Key Meeting on Anti-Corruption Drive

On September 17, the Communist Party of Vietnam held a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Combating Corruption, Waste, and Negativity at the Central Party Headquarters. The meeting was chaired by General Secretary and President To Lam, who also heads the Central Steering Committee. This gathering is part of the ongoing anti-corruption campaign championed by the Communist Party of Vietnam. Prior to this meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam engaged in international activities, including participation in the High-Level Segment of the UN General Assembly, bilateral engagements in the United States, and a state visit to Canada. These diplomatic efforts are seen as crucial for Vietnam to enhance its international standing and further fuel its economic expansion. Furthermore, he has also presided over working sessions with the Central Steering Committee for the summation of 100 years of the Party's leadership in the revolution and meetings to approve inspection results for the Party Committee of the National Assembly. These actions highlight the Party's focus on strengthening internal discipline and optimizing governance structures.
