Car Crashes into Motorbikes at Red Light in HCMC, Two Injured

A 7-seater car crashed into a line of motorbikes waiting at a red light in front of Tan Binh Industrial Park, Tay Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, at around 10:30 AM on September 16. The incident resulted in damage to three motorcycles and injuries to two people. The car was traveling on Truong Chinh Street, heading from the intersection leading to Tan Son Nhat Airport's Terminal 3 towards An Suong intersection when it suddenly collided with the motorbikes stopped at the red light. Nguyen Hung, a resident near the scene, stated that two victims suffered broken legs and soft tissue injuries, while others sustained only minor abrasions. "At that time, the traffic was very heavy, and many people heard a loud noise from behind and abandoned their vehicles to escape being affected," Hung said. The car sustained front-end damage, with debris and belongings from the damaged motorbikes scattered across the road. The area was already experiencing traffic congestion due to metro construction which began earlier that morning, and the accident exacerbated the situation.
