Immigration and Population : MOIP Union Minister inspects work undertakings

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing on Friday, visited the Oktwin Township Immigration Office and observed the one-stop service provided for local residents, including household registration updates, issuance of National Registration Cards (NRCs) for eligible citizens, replacement of lost or damaged NRCs, and UID registration. The Union Minister later visited Basic Education High School No. 5 in Taungoo, where he observed the issuance of NRCs to students aged 10 and above and the collection of UID data under the La Min Project. He also inspected blood type testing conducted by health staff and the verification process carried out by the township committee. During the visit, the Union Minister presented newly issued NRCs and UID documents to students who had completed the one-stop service process. The Ministry of Immigration and Population is continuing to implement the La Min Project nationwide to facilitate the issuance of NRCs and UID numbers for eligible citizens through township immigration offices and mobile services at schools. Later, the Union Minister met with district and township immigration officials from Taungoo and Nyaunglebin districts and emphasized the need to provide efficient services while strictly following existing laws and procedures.
