Prabowo Orders Revision of Land Clearing Rules and Increased Heavy Equipment for Kalimantan

President Prabowo has ordered a review of regional regulations permitting slash-and-burn land clearing and an increase in heavy equipment to combat forest and land fires (karhutla) in Kalimantan. He also indicated stricter penalties for violating corporations.
