Ho Chi Minh City is witnessing rapid progress in resident relocation and demolition of houses along the Xuyen Tâm canal, in preparation for a major redevelopment project. The VND 17 trillion (over $700 million USD) initiative, after more than two decades of stagnation, aims to restart by late 2025, promising urban landscape renewal and infrastructure improvements.
