Preah Sihanouk Province Conducts Free Eye Screenings and Glasses Distribution
The Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Health conducted a free eye screening and glasses distribution campaign at the Ou Bak Rotes Long Life Health Center in Kampong Sela district. The initiative aims to improve residents' eye health and reduce preventable blindness.
Preah Sihanouk Province, August 7, 2026 -- The Eye Health Program team of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Health, in collaboration with the ophthalmology specialist team from the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital, conducted a campaign to measure vision, examine eye diseases, and provide free eyeglasses to citizens at the Ou Bak Rotes Long Life Health Center in Kampong Sela District, Preah Sihanouk Province. This campaign aims to promote eye health, reduce preventable visual impairment, and improve the quality of life and visual well-being of the local population. Previously, the Eye Health Program team of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Health, in cooperation with the ophthalmology specialist team from the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Referral Hospital, has also conducted vision measurement, eye disease examination, and free eyeglasses distribution campaigns for students and citizens in health centers and primary and secondary schools in Prey Nob District.
