Bhumjaithai MP Rejects 'Blue Regime' Accusation, Calls Opposition Leader's Claims 'Fabrication'

Akkhadateh Wongpitakroht, a Member of Parliament for Ratchaburi and a government whip for the Bhumjaithai Party, strongly refuted claims made by Natthaphong Ruangpanawut, leader of the People's Party and the opposition leader, who stated his intention to expose the "blue regime" during an upcoming no-confidence debate. Akkhadateh asserted that such a regime is a fabrication by the opposition and does not exist. Akkhadateh highlighted that the Bhumjaithai Party has received overwhelming trust from the public, securing nearly 200 seats, a level of support unprecedented for any political party in nearly two decades. He emphasized that this is genuine public trust, not any form of "blue regime." "The leader of the People's Party is trying to turn the strength that the Bhumjaithai Party has gained from the people's faith into a discourse of a blue regime. But the truth is, this is the trust that the people have given, not any regime whatsoever," Akkhadateh stated. Addressing allegations of the Bhumjaithai Party's involvement in alleged collusion in the Senate elections, Akkhadateh pointed out that individuals and groups associated with the People's Party, dating back to the Future Forward Party and Move Forward Party eras, have also been implicated in activities that could be seen as manipulating Senate selections. He stated there is evidence of open meetings and discussions, though these attempts were unsuccessful. He criticized this as an attempt to smear others with the "blue regime" label based on their own past, unsuccessful actions. "Do not use the behavior that you yourself have done and failed at to paint others as a blue regime, because it is merely an attempt to create a false image for the public to misunderstand by using your own former allies and behavior," Akkhadateh said. Akkhadateh stressed the importance of constructive politics, stating that the Bhumjaithai Party and its ministers are not afraid of scrutiny during the no-confidence debate. He asserted that the government has been actively implementing concrete projects for the people over the past 4-5 months, including energy reform, promotion of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" policy, national disaster insurance, and the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy – initiatives that past governments failed to achieve. Regarding corruption allegations, Akkhadateh expressed confidence that the Prime Minister has not been involved in corruption during the past five months. He cited the government's serious actions in response to suspected issues, such as examination irregularities, including thorough investigations, the removal of involved personnel, facilitating DSI (Department of Special Investigation) inquiries, and the revocation of appointments by the Deputy Minister of Interior. These actions, he argued, reflect the government's genuine commitment to a clean and corruption-free nation. "All of this reflects the government's genuine intention to make the country clean and free from corruption. Therefore, we are never afraid of a no-confidence debate and are ready to answer every issue. We only ask that the opposition does not use rhetoric or false information to attack us, but instead brings real evidence to the debate, because we are confident that the ministers from the Bhumjaithai Party can answer every issue," Akkhadateh stated. Akkhadateh urged Natthaphong, in his capacity as opposition leader, to act as a constructive opposition. He warned that daily attacks on the Prime Minister without factual basis could reduce politics to mere "political theater." He suggested that a memorable opposition leader doesn't just attack the government but can also offer recommendations, conduct oversight, and point out problems directly, which would be more beneficial to the public and the country.
