Vietnam National Assembly and China's NPC Deepen Cooperation Talks

On the morning of September 16, at the National Assembly House, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man received Mr. Zhong Shan, Chairman of the Finance and Economy Committee of the National People's Congress of China, and his delegation who are on a visit to Vietnam. During the meeting, both sides agreed to further deepen the cooperative relationship between the two parliaments. In particular, the policy of contributing to the development of bilateral relations through strengthening cooperation in the economic field was confirmed. This meeting suggests an important aspect of Vietnam's foreign policy, which is how to manage and develop its relationship with neighboring China while the country continues its economic growth under a socialist one-party system. Strengthening economic ties is essential for Vietnam's economic growth strategy, and at the same time, maintaining stable relations with China is considered to influence Vietnam's geopolitical standing in the region.
