Vietnam, Mexico Bolster Energy and Port Cooperation
Vietnam and Mexico agreed to strengthen cooperation in energy and port development. Discussions focused on practical measures such as theoretical exchanges, personnel training, enhanced parliamentary exchanges, and trade promotion, aiming to deepen bilateral ties.
Huan proposed a formal mechanism for theoretical exchanges and joint personnel training, including sharing Party-building experience for young personnel. The academy will coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to submit the proposals to the Party's competent agencies for approval. The 11th Belt & Road Summit provides a practical opportunity to promote Vietnam’s investment environment and support Vietnamese businesses seeking investment opportunities in Hong Kong. To maximise its seaport advantages, Ho Chi Minh City is developing smart and green ports while promoting clean energy, lower emissions and sustainable supply chains. It aims to establish an integrated ecosystem linking seaports with industrial parks, logistics centres, free trade zones, multimodal transport networks and an international financial centre.
