YGN Region CM attended and delivered opening address

The opening ceremony of the No. (2/2026) Capacity-Building Training Course for Township Administrators/Assistant Directors under the General Administration Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs was held Monday morning at the Aung San Hall of the School of Administration Development Training, Thingangyun Gyi Village Tract, Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the ceremony and delivered the opening address. He also presented cash of honor for rice, cooking oil and training expenses, which were received by the Principal of the school. The training course, attended by 120 trainees, will be conducted from 14 September to 9 October 2026. Next, the opening ceremony of the 27th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition of Yangon Region was held at the Myanmar Convention Centre (MCC) in Mayangone Township. Patron of the Organizing Committee for the 27th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition of Yangon Region and Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu delivered the opening address. He then formally opened the competition by cutting the ceremonial ribbon together with the Yangon Region Hluttaw Speaker, region ministers and officials. Afterwards, cultural performances featuring singing and dancing were presented. Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu and his wife presented cash awards to the performing groups. A total of 262 contestants from Yangon Region will participate in the 27th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition, competing in their respective disciplines from 14 to 16 September. Next, a ceremony to hand over equipment for the Project for Creating Small-Scale Manufacturing Enterprises and Increasing the Incomes of Rural Families, organized by the Small-Scale Industries Department under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Yangon Region, was held at the Mingala Hall of the Yangon Region Government Office. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the ceremony and delivered the opening address. Together with members of Yangon Region Government and officials, he presented equipment to entrepreneurs from townships across Yangon Region who are establishing small-scale businesses under the project.
