The Association of Veterans and Retirees in the Information Sector, under Cambodia's Ministry of Information, continues its activities to support former officials and retirees who have dedicated their careers to the nation and the information and broadcasting sector. On July 17, 2026, a delegation led by Ms. Tui Sereyrathana Netphaktra, Honorary President of the Association and representative of H.E. Minister Net Phaktra, visited Mr. Phoung Phean, a former civil servant of the General Directorate of National Television of Cambodia (TVK). The accompanying delegation included H.E. Thon Sarath, Secretary of State and member of the Association, and Madam Tes Phallyn, Secretary General and head of the Association's Secretariat, along with several other secretariat members. During the visit, Ms. Tui Sereyrathana Netphaktra conveyed the regards and deep remembrance from H.E. Minister Net Phaktra and other ministry leaders. She emphasized that the ministry consistently remembers and is grateful for the contributions of all retirees who have diligently served the nation and contributed to the development of the information and broadcasting sector in Cambodia. Furthermore, the delegation presented a number of essential food supplies and financial assistance, generously donated by H.E. the Minister and his wife, to Mr. Phoung Phean. In addition, the delegation informed and advised on the process of registering as a member of the Retirees Association. This initiative aims to foster closer connections and ensure easier access to attention and support in the future. This humanitarian activity clearly demonstrates the culture of sharing and profound gratitude held by the leadership of the Ministry of Information towards former civil servants who have sacrificed their physical and mental strength in service to the motherland.
