Cambodia provides support to families of border soldiers, praising contributions to national defense

On the morning of Friday, August 7, 2026, a ceremony was held in Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia, to visit and comfort the families of soldiers bravely serving on the front lines of national defense. This visit was led by Dr. Panha Kem Bunthon, Deputy Chief of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and Deputy Head of the Royal Government Working Group for Banteay Meanchey Province, reflecting the attention from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, Samdech Kittipritthbandit, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadi, the current Prime Minister, along with his wife, and local authorities. Specifically, Dr. Panha Kem Bunthon, in his capacity as Deputy Head of the Royal Government Working Group for Banteay Meanchey Province, met with 79 families of soldiers stationed on the front lines. These families are from two villages, referred to as Techo Win-Win: 'Beng Chongrok Techo Win-Win' and 'Beng 75 Techo Win-Win'. Dr. Panha Kem Bunthon and his wife, Mrs. Sek Serey Rathana, donated 25 kilograms of rice, one dozen bottles of fish sauce, one dozen bottles of soy sauce, canned fish, and an amount of cash to each family. This support is a gesture of care for the families of the 'rear-echelon' soldiers who have voluntarily contributed to defending the motherland on the battlefields in Banteay Meanchey province.
