The state weather bureau added that the typhoon’s effects are expected to be most felt from Thursday evening to Friday morning. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has also placed its operations center and member agencies on heightened alert in preparation for the effects of the typhoon and the enhanced southwest monsoon.
