Infanta Launches Disability Expo 2026 to Boost PWD Welfare

INFANTA, Quezon, Philippines — The municipal government of Infanta has launched the Disability Expo 2026, an initiative aimed at promoting the welfare and well-being of persons with disability (PWDs). The event, held on July 15 and 16 at the Northern Quezon Auditorium in Barangay Comon, convened government agencies, private organizations, healthcare providers, advocates, and volunteers. Under the theme “Promoting Inclusion, Accessibility and Equal Opportunities for All,” the expo was described as a significant step towards expanding opportunities and ensuring access to services for the PWD sector. The launch was led by Mayor Lord Arnel Ruanto, municipal PWD affairs officer Liezl Pilotin, and Gerry Nuyda, president of the Federation of Persons With Disability. Organized under the town’s Lingap Agad Program, the expo served as a one-stop venue for healthcare, legal assistance, and livelihood information, all geared towards empowering PWDs. This initiative highlights the proactive stance of local governments in supporting disability inclusion within the Philippines, marking a crucial step in fostering their social participation and independence.
