MRF and Vietnam Sign MoU to Promote Bio and Natural Fertilizer Production

It has been learned from the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) and the Vietnam Rural Agricultural Development Science Institute concerning the promotion of production and usage of bio and natural fertilizers. The Memorandum of Understanding on the promotion of production and usage of bio and natural fertilizers, for the development of rural areas and the conservation of agricultural lands, soils, and ecosystems, was signed at the Myanmar-Vietnam Business Forum (2026) held in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is also reported that at the forum, the Myanmar Rice Producers Association, an affiliate of the Myanmar Rice Federation, signed an MoU with Vietnam's Phong VU Trading Services Import Export Co.,Ltd for cooperation in the chemical fertilizer business. The Myanmar-Vietnam bilateral B to B rice business cooperation plan has identified nine business sectors and will be vigorously and specially prioritized for promotion, according to a statement from the Myanmar Rice Federation. At the forum, the Myanmar Rice Federation presented and explained the potential for cooperation in areas such as Myanmar's Pawsan rice and high-grade rice, the production of rice bran oil in collaboration with Vietnam, the production, installation, and usage of rice milling equipment and silo systems, and the production of rice seeds.
