In Kampong Chhnang province, Cambodia, active efforts are underway to beautify and maintain the median strips along National Road 5. This initiative aims to enhance the road's aesthetic appeal and ensure the safety of residents' travel. According to Mr. Chhay Leaphea, Director of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Kampong Chhnang province, regular maintenance includes tending to the vegetation, removing weeds, and trimming overgrown plants to reduce obstruction for drivers. Efforts are also made to ensure the planted trees, particularly palms and jasmine trees in the median, grow lush and green throughout the year with adequate watering. This operation covers the entire stretch of National Road 5 within Kampong Chhnang province, from the border with Kampong Speu province to the border with Pursat province.
