Chiang Rai Police Arrest 3 Teens for Motorcycle Theft

CHIANG RAI – Police in Phan district have arrested three male youths in connection with a motorcycle theft that occurred earlier this month. A swift local investigation revealed that the suspects had dismantled the stolen vehicle into various parts, intending to sell them. The investigation led officers to an undisclosed location within the district where the stolen motorcycle was found dismantled. Investigators were able to match the recovered parts directly to the recently stolen vehicle. Several senior officers contributed to the quick resolution of this property crime. Police Colonel Wichai Chai-inkham, the station superintendent, directed the operation, while Deputy Superintendent Chiwa Yathuam and Inspector Pichai Chueamuangphan managed the daily investigation details. A specialized search team, led by Police Captain Theeraphong Khotsrimuang, worked relentlessly to recover the missing bike and apprehend the thieves. During initial questioning, the three teenagers fully admitted to the crime and confessed to the investigating officers. They have been officially charged with joint property theft. The dismantled motorcycle parts were seized as evidence. As the suspects are minors, the case will be handled by the local juvenile court, with sentencing to follow youth protection laws.
