The 2026 Ministry of Education Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony was held on Thursday at Basic Education High School No. (11), in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw. Union Minister for Education, Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, attended the event and planted an auspicious Gantgaw tree. Following this, Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing, Directors-General, and officials planted their designated trees. Subsequently, teachers and students collectively participated in planting trees, while the Union Minister and officials walked around to observe and encourage their efforts. At the 2026 Ministry of Education Monsoon Tree Planting Ceremony, a total of 400 trees including Gantgaw, teak, Pyinkado, mahogany, and other premium grade trees and shade-providing windbreak trees were planted.
