US Pilot's Body Flown to Jakarta After Papua Attack by Armed Criminal Group

The body of US pilot Nicholas F Goselin, who was killed in an attack by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Yahukimo, Papua, has been flown to Jakarta. The US Embassy in Jakarta is facilitating the repatriation process.

    An Associated Mission Aviation (AMA) Pilatus aircraft, PK-RCY, which had served humanitarian flights in Papua for 67 years, was burned by armed criminal groups (KKB) in Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan, resulting in the death of American pilot Captain Nicholas F. Goselin (29). Authorities have identified the perpetrators as a new KKB group led by M. Mbalingga and are continuing their investigation.
