Cambodia Prepares Cultural Events for 2026 Francophonie Summit

The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia has issued a notification regarding the organization of the "Village de la Francophonie" event, which will be held from November 13 to 17, 2026, in Phnom Penh. This event is being organized in conjunction with the Kingdom of Cambodia's hosting of the "20th Francophonie Summit." Under the mandate from the government and through the National Committee for Organizing the 20th Francophonie Summit, the Ministry of Tourism, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Women's Affairs, and other relevant ministries and institutions, will organize the "Village de la Francophonie" event. The event will take place at Wat Bottomvathy Park in Phnom Penh. The "Village de la Francophonie" will feature several key activities: 1. National pavilions for member states of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF). 2. Daily artistic performances and cultural showcases organized by the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, with opportunities for member states to participate. 3. Conference and workshop venues for ministries, public institutions, member states of the OIF, and relevant organizations. To promote the historic event of hosting the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 and the "Village de la Francophonie" event, the Ministry of Tourism invites all relevant parties to participate. This includes organizing exhibition booths, particularly in zones 4 and 5, to display achievements, works, products, and services, as well as food exhibitions and other activities as mentioned above.
