Phnom Penh Police Arrest 4 Suspects in Condo Construction Site Motorcycle Theft

A theft of six motorcycles from a condominium construction site in Phnom Penh has led to the arrest of four suspects by the city's police. The incident gained attention after victims shared their plight on social media, appealing to authorities for an investigation and the recovery of their stolen vehicles. The crime occurred on the night of July 3rd at a construction site in the Dangkor district of Phnom Penh. A group of approximately eight suspects reportedly entered the site and stole six motorcycles belonging to construction workers residing there. Following the report from the victims, the Dangkor District Police initiated an investigation. On July 5th, a joint force comprising specialized criminal investigation units from the Dangkor District Police, the Mean Chey District Police, and the Phnom Penh Municipal Police's Misdemeanor Crimes Office successfully apprehended four suspects in the Mean Chey district. The arrested individuals are reportedly involved in scavenging and reside in the vicinity of a landfill. Authorities are currently questioning the apprehended suspects to gather further details about the crime. Efforts are underway to locate and arrest the remaining four accomplices.
