Rare Snake-necked Bird Flock Filmed in Dong Nai City

A flock of rare snake-necked birds (Anhinga melanogaster) has been confirmed and its footage released in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam. These birds, sometimes referred to as "water chickens," inhabit aquatic environments. The snake-necked bird is often described as "a bird with a snake-like neck" due to its distinctive appearance, which is captured in the released footage. Snake-necked birds are known to be vulnerable to environmental changes, including habitat destruction and water pollution. Therefore, this sighting is of interest from the perspective of biodiversity conservation in the region.
