Meeting held in Washington on Myanmar affairs and US interests

Mizzima. || The 8th hybrid (online and in-person) Congressional Briefing on US national interests concerning Myanmar was held in Washington D.C., USA, organized by the Burma Research Institute (BRI). It is understood that the matters discussed focused on the theme of 'US National Interests Regarding Myanmar – Online Scams, Regional Stability, Countering Regional Power Influence, Trade, and Investment'. Daw Zin Mar Aung, the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government (NUG), delivered the keynote address at the briefing, which also included a question-and-answer session with attendees. Daw Zin Mar Aung is also a member of the Secretariat of the Steering Committee for Federal Democratic Union Establishment (SCEF). This Congressional Briefing was held during Daw Zin Mar Aung's visit to Washington and was a program to exchange views on the current political, security, and economic situation in Myanmar, as well as US policy and national interests regarding regional stability.
