Northern Vietnam Hit by Torrential Rain, Disrupting Transport Links

Severe thunderstorms struck northern Vietnam, including Hanoi and mountainous regions, on July 16. In Lai Chau province, heavy rainfall caused landslides that severed a 30-meter section of National Highway 12, paralyzing the route between Lai Chau and Dien Bien.
