Cambodia Sacrifices Up to $70m Monthly in Fuel Tax Relief to Shield Consumers

The Cambodian government is sacrificing between $55 million and $70 million in monthly revenue through fuel tax and duty cuts to mitigate the impact of volatile global energy prices. Mines and Energy Minister Keo Rottanak stated that while the nation relies entirely on imports, the government has eliminated duties on LPG to support vulnerable sectors.
