In Bago Region, local and CP brand chickens are being sold daily in direct connection with breeders, allowing residents to purchase and consume chicken at affordable prices, according to information from the regional government authorities. This sale is being organized and implemented by the relevant municipal development committees under the supervision of the regional government authorities, and local and CP brand chickens are being sold daily in the markets of Bago, Pyay, Toungoo, and Thayarwady districts, it is reported. Residents of Bago city said that with chicken being sold at such affordable prices, chicken prices have returned to normal, and if rice, oil, meat, and fish were also sold directly like this, residents would be more convenient. The selling prices are: CP brand chicken wholesale price is 18,400 kyats per viss, retail price is 20,500 kyats per viss; local chicken wholesale price is 23,000 kyats per viss, retail price is 25,000 kyats per viss. It is also reported that sales will continue to be made daily in cooperation with the relevant departments so that residents can conveniently purchase and consume chicken at affordable prices.
