Lang Son VSIP Inaugurates Office Building, Breaks Ground on $30 Million Protective Glove Factory

On September 25, a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a protective glove manufacturing plant and the inauguration of the VSIP Lang Son Office Building were held at the VSIP Lang Son Industrial Park in Lang Son Province, northern Vietnam. This project is expected to contribute to the economic development of Lang Son Province, particularly in its key sectors of border trade, industrial park development, and tourism. More than VND 6.36 trillion have been invested in the infrastructure of the VSIP Lang Son Industrial Park, aiming to revitalize the regional economy. Furthermore, Becamex IDC, a major Vietnamese real estate developer, and A*STAR from Singapore have agreed to establish an advanced research, development, and manufacturing center within the VSIP ecosystem, raising expectations for technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Under its one-party system, Vietnam has actively attracted foreign direct investment (FDI) and achieved remarkable economic growth, primarily driven by the manufacturing sector. Lang Son Province, sharing a long border with China, possesses a strategic geographical advantage as a border trade hub and holds significant potential for economic development. The construction of the protective glove factory is anticipated to contribute to the diversification of the regional economy and job creation. However, as industrial park development and infrastructure improvement rapidly advance across Vietnam, addressing social issues such as environmental protection and workers' rights is also crucial for sustainable growth.
