Residents in Village 3, Chroy Changvar Sangkat, Phnom Penh, have expressed great excitement and happiness as local authorities have taken immediate action to rebuild and resurface the 'Water Pump Road,' a vital artery for their daily commutes. The construction, which began on September 17, 2026, involved the repair and asphalt paving of the Water Pump Road, measuring 7 meters wide and 625 meters long, located in Village 3, Chroy Changvar Sangkat, Chroy Changvar District. Mao Buntha, Chroy Changvar Sangkat Chief, stated that the project utilized the 2026 Sangkat Development Fund to address the essential needs of the residents. The primary objective is to resolve challenges and respond to the most urgent requirements of the local population in a timely and targeted manner. Roza, a resident from the aforementioned area, shared that in the past, the Water Pump Road often presented difficulties, with potholes causing dust storms in the dry season and water accumulation in the rainy season, severely hindering travel and impacting their health. The current realization of a clean and robust asphalt road not only facilitates the daily commute for students but also eases their business activities, enhances land value, and serves as a symbol of improved community aesthetics. Concurrently, residents of the locality have expressed their profound gratitude to the Chroy Changvar Sangkat authorities, technical officials, and the Phnom Penh City Hall for their attentiveness and for swiftly addressing their pressing concerns in response to their requests. The Sangkat Chief urged the contracting company to diligently adhere to technical standards to ensure the quality, durability, and longevity of the work.
