Vietnam Proposes Centralizing Holiday Decisions Under Prime Minister

Vietnam's Ministry of Interior has proposed centralizing the decision-making authority for all annual public holidays under the Prime Minister as part of amendments to the Labor Code. This move aims to facilitate planned long weekends and continuous holidays by better aligning with weekends. Currently, only Tet (Lunar New Year) and National Day holidays are decided by the PM, while others are fixed.
