His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia has sent a congratulatory message to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and Chairman of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, on the occasion of his birthday on August 5, 2026. In the royal message, His Majesty stated, "On this auspicious occasion of Samdech Techo's birthday, I wholeheartedly wish him abundant health, sharp intellect, robust strength, and further success in his noble mission to serve the nation and the motherland of Cambodia." His Majesty further praised Samdech Techo Hun Sen's "unparalleled patriotism and unwavering determination" and his significant contributions to enhancing national prestige. It was noted that through wisdom and skill, he has fostered the construction and defense of the nation, territorial integrity, sovereignty, national unity, and solidarity, bringing about peace, stability, and rapid development in all sectors. Specifically, the King mentioned Samdech Techo Hun Sen's assumption of numerous important duties as Acting Head of State during His Majesty's absence for medical examinations in the People's Republic of China. The message also highlighted his leadership of the Senate, Cambodia's supreme legislative body, and the numerous achievements he has brought to the nation, earning him widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally.
