Svay Rieng Province Reviews and Improves Administrative Service Delivery

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Svay Rieng Province convened a crucial meeting to review and improve its administrative service delivery system. The session was led by H.E. Soeun Prathna, Director General of the General Department of Administration at the Ministry of Interior, and was warmly welcomed by H.E. Peng Porsar, Governor of Svay Rieng Province. The meeting saw the participation of numerous representatives from central ministries, including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, the General Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Interior, and the Secretariat of the Supreme National Council. Directors from departments under the General Department of Administration of the Ministry of Interior, along with provincial and district administration officials, and heads of relevant specialized departments, also attended, ensuring a comprehensive discussion from various perspectives. Governor Peng Porsar expressed his welcome to H.E. Soeun Prathna and the leadership representatives from the relevant ministries and institutions. He highlighted the significant attention from the leadership of the Ministry of Interior, particularly H.E. Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, whose insightful guidance and adjustments are crucial for improving administrative efficiency. H.E. Soeun Prathna stated that the meeting was organized following directives from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, aligning with the concerns of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, who consistently prioritizes the well-being and ease of access to administrative services for the citizens. He emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was "to jointly review, discuss, and improve the work system to be smoother, not to identify mistakes or put pressure on any unit." The working group aims to understand the actual challenges to facilitate solutions and clearly define responsible institutions, ensuring that all citizen documents are handled and resolved in a timely manner. Specifically, efforts will be made to simplify work procedures and enhance the quality of services provided to the public.
