On the afternoon of July 6, 2026, Dr. Ban Sreymom, Governor of Pailin Province and Chairperson of the Provincial Administration Command Unity, led a meeting to review the work results for the first half of 2026 and to plan for the continued implementation of measures to eradicate online scams from the province and the entire country. Dr. Ban Sreymom stated that the work to prevent technological fraud (Online Scams) is a top priority and a crucial task for the authorities and law enforcement forces at all levels. She emphasized the need for everyone to increase their attention and responsibility in effectively resolving this issue, in line with the directives of the Prime Minister of the Royal Government, HE Dr. Hun Manet. The Governor further clarified that the continued campaign to prevent and crack down on various crimes, especially technological crimes (Online Scams) in the Kingdom of Cambodia, aims to strengthen the implementation of social security, discipline, and overall public order, in accordance with the government's necessary measures. This includes paying close attention to managing security in concentrated residential areas, inspecting the settlement of foreigners, and monitoring casino locations to prevent foreigners from illegally residing in the province and to effectively curb crimes, particularly online scams.
