It invited relevant groups to open-ended peace talks scheduled for April 21, 2026 through Announcement No. 1/2026, aimed at supporting national development and stability. In line with this initiative, a meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and the Karen National Union/Karen National Liberation Army-Peace Council (KNU/KNLA-PC) was held on Monday at the Shwe San Eain Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw. Both sides also emphasized continued coordination for regional stability. NSPNC Secretary Lt. Gen. Min Naing reiterated ongoing efforts to reduce conflict and advance peace through dialogue with both NCA signatories and non-signatories. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement on recorded discussions, followed by a vote of thanks from the KNU/KNLA-PC Vice Chairman and a closing remark by the NSPNC Chairman.
