Cambodia Arrests Over 1,300 in Online Scam Crackdown, Involving 16 Nationalities
Cambodia's Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of 1,332 individuals from 16 nationalities involved in online scams within the first two weeks of June 2026. Sixteen individuals were identified as ringleaders, with some actively hindering investigations. Additionally, fines totaling nearly 200 million riels were imposed for violations of safety regulations.
