Cambodian People's Party Directs Local Bodies to Prioritize Party Membership Card Distribution for 2027 Commune Council Elections
The Cambodian People's Party has instructed its local organizations in Svay Rieng province's Romeas Haek district to prioritize the distribution of party membership cards in preparation for the 2027 commune council elections, aiming to strengthen the party's base.
Mr. Sok Soken, a member of the Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Party Working Group for Svay Rieng Province, and Head of the Party Working Group for Romeas Haek District, has instructed party working groups at all levels to pay close attention to the work of distributing party membership cards. This instruction was given during a meeting to disseminate the action plan for the 2027 6th mandate commune council elections, held on July 11th at the Romeas Haek District Party Office. The event was attended by leaders of the district party working group, nine support working groups, 16 commune working groups, 204 village representatives, as well as members of the district and commune party committees, party youth working groups, and the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia. During the meeting, Mr. Soken conveyed greetings and regards from Dr. Men Sam An, Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party and Head of the Party Working Group for Svay Rieng Province. He also highlighted the five points of commitment of the Cambodian People's Party, as stated in the message from HE Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the party's founding. This included the defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity, peace, and full support for the government's leadership under HE Dr. Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in resolving border issues peacefully. Furthermore, Mr. Soken provided key recommendations to the party working groups at all levels, urging them to cooperate in implementing programs and policies, action plans, and party work based on actual conditions, adhering to the stance of "daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility."
