Kampong Thom Governor Honors 52 'A' Grade High School Graduates

Kampong Thom Governor Nuon Pharath met and congratulated 52 students from Kampong Thom province who achieved 'A' grades in the August 2026 high school diploma examinations on the afternoon of September 4, 2026. During the ceremony, Governor Nuon Pharath stated that achieving 'A' grades is a valuable and proud accomplishment resulting from the students' diligent efforts, the dedicated teaching of their instructors, and the support and encouragement from parents, guardians, and the entire community. He noted that these achievements are not only an honor for the students and their families but also a source of pride for their schools and the province. The governor further emphasized that acquiring specialized knowledge not only provides the understanding needed for a profession but also serves as a life lesson, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, responsibility, patience, and the ability to face challenges. He added that the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained will serve as a crucial foundation for building their future and contributing to the development of their families, society, and the nation. He stressed the significant importance of investing in education, urging parents to provide their children with opportunities to study and encouraging students to strive for excellence. Governor Pharath also highlighted the need for continuous effort, patience, and guidance in decision-making, particularly in choosing a specialized field of study at the university level. He advised students to keep pace with the digital society and to master at least one foreign language. On this meaningful occasion, Governor Nuon Pharath presented each of the 52 'A' grade laureates with a certificate of commendation and a cash incentive of 400,000 Riel (approximately $100 USD).
