Philippines Resumes Waste-to-Energy Auction with Increased Target, Extended Deadline
The Philippine Department of Energy (DoE) has resumed activities for its special Green Energy Auction (GEA) round for waste-to-energy (WTE) projects. To encourage greater participation, the installation target was increased from 230 MW to 400 MW, and the delivery commencement deadline was extended to the end of 2029.
