Power consumers in the Visayas may experience rotational brownouts on Friday, as power supply woes continue. In an advisory, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines put the Visayas under red alert again from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. READ: DOE targets brownout-free Christmas for Visayas, Mindanao A yellow alert would also be in effect from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aside from the unavailability of big coal power plants, the Visayas is also suffering from limited imports from the Mindanao grid.
