MANILA, Philippines — Four minors were taken into police custody over the alleged stabbing of another minor in Las Piñas City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Friday. The purported incident took place on Thursday in Barangay Daniel Fajardo, according to the SPD in a statement. “Based on the initial investigation, one minor sustained stab wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment, while another minor was the victim of an attempted stabbing but was able to evade the attack,” the police explained. “Follow-up police operations resulted in the identification of the involved CICLs (children in conflict with the law), with four now under police custody. Efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining CICL,” it added. The SPD did not provide further details on the incident nor the identities of the parties involved.
