DOE Blames NGCP Delays for Visayas Grid Alerts

The Department of Energy (DOE) has blamed the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) for delays in securing critical ancillary service contracts, leading to recent yellow and red alerts in the Visayas grid. The DOE stated that timely execution of these contracts would have prevented power supply instability and protected consumers.
