Vietnam Commended for Earthquake Relief Efforts in Venezuela

Vietnamese rescuers have pulled seven more bodies from the rubble following twin earthquakes in Venezuela, bringing the total number of recovered bodies to 30. The team also worked with local authorities to identify 12 locations where victims are suspected to remain buried. During a field meeting, Ambassador My inquired about the team’s living and working conditions, commending the sense of responsibility, determination, and resilience demonstrated by the officers and soldiers of the contingent. He emphasized that Vietnam’s deployment of search and rescue forces to assist Venezuela in overcoming natural disaster consequences is a noble gesture, reflecting a strong spirit of international solidarity. Vietnamese military and public security personnel are joining international search and rescue efforts in Venezuela following the devastating earthquake.
