Vietnam President Concludes UNGA Visit, Heads to Canada for State Visit

On the afternoon of September 23 (local time, the morning of September 24, Hanoi time), President To Lam and a high-level Vietnamese delegation concluded their participation in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly's high-level general debate and bilateral activities in the United States. They departed from New York to begin a state visit to Canada. This visit is seen as an opportunity to elevate Vietnam-Canada relations to a new level of development. Significant potential for further deepening bilateral ties has been highlighted, with expectations for expanded cooperation ahead. Notably, cultural exchange events coinciding with Vietnam's Tet Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) were held in Thunder Bay, Canada, contributing to the promotion of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. This is considered to play a crucial role in fostering understanding and friendship at the grassroots level, which forms the foundation of bilateral relations.
