Power supply restored in some flood-affected villages

It has been learned from the Hinthada District Disaster Management Committee that power supply has been restored in some flood-affected villages in Ayeyarwady Region. It is reported that power supply was temporarily cut off starting August 4 in some villages in the towns of Legsuna and Hinthada to ensure the safety of the public from electrical hazards due to the inundation of the Ngawan River. It has been learned that power supply has been able to be distributed again starting the evening of September 6 in the villages where the water has receded, namely Sayawain village in Legsuna town, and Laha Pa village, Taungpotan village, Kaninngu village, Okpon village, Leusoo village, Nganotson village, and Sankantaw village in Hinthada town. It has been learned that efforts will be made to restore power supply as quickly as possible in the remaining villages once the water recedes.
