13 individuals involved in online scam gambling arrested in Hsipaw

It has been reported that a total of 13 individuals involved in online scam gambling were arrested in Hsipaw Township, Shan State (North) on September 15. Based on information provided by responsible citizens that individuals involved in online scam gambling were residing near Namkham village in Hsipaw Township, a joint team including security forces went to the location to investigate. As a result of their investigation, around 5:45 AM on September 15, eight male Chinese nationals, one female Chinese national, one male Myanmar national, and three female Myanmar nationals, totaling 13 individuals involved in online scam gambling, were arrested along with related equipment. It has been stated that once the necessary investigations are completed for those arrested, they will be dealt with strictly and severely in accordance with existing laws, and the seized business equipment will also be processed further according to procedures.
