Mayon Volcano Shows Signs of Renewed Activity; Phivolcs on Alert

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has recorded a sharp increase in sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions from Mayon Volcano, raising concerns about potential renewed eruptive activity. Emissions reached a high rate of 8,393 tonnes per day.
